What is it that makes you want to grow? That makes you want to spend time, money and effort into something that might only benefit you in the future and would actually be a little difficult in the present…
For me, it’s an idea of tomorrow. That whatever I do today will matter for a happier, healthier tomorrow. But what happens if someone doesn’t have that sense of tomorrow? When surviving today has been so uncertain that any tomorrow feels feeble. Or if the world has told them that they perhaps don’t deserve to have a tomorrow… a narrative that perhaps has been internalised and that makes one believe that maybe they are to be blamed and nothing can now get better…
We believe everyone deserves a tomorrow. And we believe that everyone deserves to love themselves enough that they dare to hope and work towards a life they truly want. Unconditional, infinite belief in the innate worthiness in each and every person, including ourselves, as something fundamental to being human.
This belief has been the flint and fuel for the School of Second Chances, and we’re now looking for more co-travellers along this journey! We work with survivors of trauma and co-create safe learning journeys that lead to real life outcomes.
